Each year, the Festival depends upon financial support from individual donors in order to simply breakeven. In 2016, our goal to ensure we can cover our operating costs is $30,000 and as of April 22nd, we still have $21,000 to go!
On the capital side of things, we are immensely proud that last year’s major infrastructure project (renovating the artists’ change rooms and public washrooms as well as replacing the tent with a permanent pavilion) is almost completely funded. We have raised $602,000 of the $626,000 total budget, quite an amazing feat…. and a testament to how well regarded the Festival is.
But that means to become debt-free and stay that way for the balance of this year, we need to raise approximately $45,000 in individual donations.
There are a few ways that you can help us reach our financial goals!

Indian River Festival Endowment Property Fund
The Indian River Festival Association has established an endowment fund through The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island. This fund provides a means of long term funding towards property maintenance for the Indian River Festival. Also, through an initiative by the Department of Canadian Heritage called the Canadian Cultural Investment Fund, money raised for the Indian River Festival Property Fund can be matched dollar for dollar by the Federal Government. With the establishment of this fund, the Festival looks forward to further growth and stability.

Leave a Legacy
Leaving a legacy, or a future gift, has its many advantages. Among these is the opportunity to support the Indian River Festival’s future, without imposing an immediate financial burden to you. A will bequest, a gift of life insurance or specific investment shares, is a long-term investment in the maintenance of St. Mary’s Church, the offering of quality programming, and music’s ability to enrich the lives of our patrons and community.
